The castle-palace of the Abbots of Veruela in Bulbuente is a historical complex from the X-XVI centuries, which was in a critical state of conservation. In 2012 we acquired it with the aim of recovering it and returning it to its original appearance. After nine years of intense work, with an enormous human and economic effort, with unlimited illusion and strenuous dedication, we have managed to recover it, put it in value and enable it so that you can enjoy this magnificent historical complex. <\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE<\/h2>\n

We started from the experience of recovering another historic building, the castle of Grisel<\/a>, which has been open as accommodation since 2014. Work that has received numerous awards and in 2019 was awarded as the Best Tourism Experience of Aragon<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

So in Bulbuente we put into practice everything we had learned and, with great enthusiasm after many years of work, we opened the castle-palace to the public in August 2021 as a different, magical and unusual place where you can stay and enjoy its history, its stone walls, its palatial halls, its Renaissance courtyard, its chapel, its imposing tower and its large garden.<\/p>\n

Passion for details<\/h2>\n

We wanted the castle-palace of Bulbuente to be full of small details that you will be able to discover during your visit.<\/p>\n

From the remains of the discoveries of the 5 archaeological campaigns carried out by the English University of Durham (England), the monumental sculpture of Perseus that presides over the entrance, the busts of the most illustrious Aragonese, Goya, to a magnificent 16th century vase or so many other historical elements.<\/p>\n

Also works of art of the highest level, such as engravings by Goya, oil paintings by Luis Feito or Vera, recovered period furniture and others by the best designers of the twentieth century, and photographs by masters such as Chema Madoz or Ouka L\u00e9ele.<\/p>\n

And of course books, many books, as it could not be otherwise, being the renowned Aragonese writer Luis Zueco<\/strong> one of the owners and promoters of the recovery of this historic building.<\/p>\n
