On December 16, Bulbuente Castle hosted an important literary event: the meeting between the renowned writer Luis Zueco and more than 60 members of the book clubs of the Campo de Borja region belonging to the towns of Ainzón, Borja, Bulbuente, Fuendejalón, Magallón, Maleján and Mallén. The day included an attractive cultural program that included a guided visit to the Palace Castle, currently converted into a charming lodging where Luis Zueco himself is the director.

Subsequently, the different reading clubs were presented and an enriching sharing of their functioning and objectives took place. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of municipal public libraries as a support for the reading clubs and their role as cultural promoters.

The main event consisted of an interesting analysis by the writer on the presence and weight of the female figure in his literary universe, with special attention to his latest novel El tablero de la reina (Ediciones B), which has been the second best-selling novel in Aragon in 2023, and one of the most outstanding in Spain.

At the end of Luis Zueco’s speech, attendees were able to exchange impressions with him and ask questions, and the day was completed with a fantastic outdoor concert by Marta’s Way, during which members of the book clubs were able to continue exchanging experiences and enjoying a closer relationship with Luis Zueco. This day organized by the Comarca de Campo de Borja was financed by the IAM, within the framework of the collaboration agreement signed with the regional entity.
